Lately this lady is all I can listen to. She's got so much soul it brings tingles to my toes. I wondered how someone at 22 could sing with such passion and power.  Adele's first album was already perfection, how can she top it?  Well after parting ways with a boy, she had more than enough to write about and you can hear it in every SINGLE song. Heartbreaks sell!  It's the "hurts so good" album of the year.  You'll find it hard not to reflect on the past and for some of you, grab for the Kleenex. (Yes I mean you). 

If you ever had someone walk out of your life and walk into someone else's, and you just don't how when/how to let go, then "Someone Like You" is a sure MUST BUY. This piano-driven song has to be my number one favorite. Her scratchy voice cannot fit anymore perfect. 

"One and Only" this has all the R&B soulful rhythm anyone could ever need! Well, our other faves are "I Found a Boy" and "Rumor Has It" but really the ENTIRE album is just amazing and incredibly hard to narrow down. 

NOW go buy the album and tell me which songs are your favorite! 

PS: the lovely DI gets home tonight!! please pray for the rest of the team to make it back safely! (expect a few Honduras posts!!)

Let's fall into fall....

It's FASHION WEEK in Los Angeles! (well sort of)

Wrapping up in New York, Milano and Paris, here are some tid-bids I thought were just fantastic (and yes WAY off my budget, but a girl can dream). Fall seems to boast a ton of pattern-on-pattern, and more muted colors. So all those patterned pieces you have, hold onto to them cause they somehow always make it back into style!

Channeling the 70s, Bottega used all the right elements without going overboard. Love the pop of orange for fall!

Living in Florence, Salvatore Ferragamo became one of my favorite designers. I passed by his Florence store every day on my way to class! (Now the only thing I pass on my way to class is the traffic on the 5!)

day dreaming

Today is one of those days...when I just cant seem to finish my sentences. when work piles up in front of me and I have a blank stare. when the to do list seems like it has chapters. when I repeatedly open and close the refrigerator door ...when ice cream cones are the only solution, and day dreaming about mission trips to Honduras is the only wheel spinning in my head.

I am leaving for Honduras in a week and I cannot stop thinking about the beautiful babies and sweet juicy hearts I am about to squeeze!

True Food Kitchen

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at this delicious Newport Beach hot spot with my co-workers! It's simplistic concept brought me back to Italy for just a little. My favorite dishes are often the ones with the least amount of ingredients.  When you have fresh, organic ingredients you really can't go wrong. Everything sounded so amazing on that lunch menu most of us couldn't decide! But the best part was how flexible True Food Kitchen was.  You can split any of the dishes or entrees and have half of one dish and half of another. Now that is my type of restaurant! Sometimes a girl just can't narrow it down!

This is what we started with...

Local Vegetable Crudites

Two dips: Tzatziki & Black Olive

who knew carrots came in purple! They were yummy and 

so was that black olive dip!

I ordered half of Sashimi Tuna Salad

and half order of the Fish Tacos 

The fish tacos were so light and the bean salsa was just refreshing!

Finished off my meal with a delicious arnold palmer made with honey lemonade.

The whole menu is modeled after Dr. Andrew Weil's Anti-Inflammatory Diet & Food Pyramid. In other words it is incredible healthy.  So if you are looking for a filling, healthy, and delicious meal then you have got to try this one out! Let us know what you think about it.
